Scripture Text: Matthew 1:21
Our text considers Joseph as he is approached by an Angel of the Lord that tells him that his wife Mary will bear a child, conceived by the Holy Ghost, and he is told that the child should be named “Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
Second: While there are five people who have God given names before Jesus, there has been no one after him that has received a God given name.
